The IESO anticipates that industrial demand will grow by 58% by 2035, which is akin to adding a city the size of Toronto to Ontario's electricity grid.
With at least 16 new data centers expected to operate by 2035, these will contribute 13% to the new electricity demand, reflecting a global trend tied to AI advancements.
