The TTC posted a pre-game reminder that subways would stop at 1:30 a.m.; the city reposted notices about GO trains leaving. About 40,000 people attended the Rogers Centre and citywide watch parties increased demand for transit. TTC CEO Mandeep Lali said contingency plans for late-night service were not activated and that TTC operated for 90 minutes after the game. Metrolinx said it could not run extra overnight trains because of track ownership and operational constraints.
