Tesla's recall involving 2,400 Cybertrucks addresses a critical issue where the loss of power to the wheels could lead to sudden propulsion failure, heightening collision risks.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that although Tesla is addressing the issue with in-person repairs, there have been no known injuries or collisions related to the defect.
Affected Cybertruck owners will be informed by mail in January, as Tesla shows a commitment to rectify problems with the drive inverter at no cost.
This incident adds to the ongoing saga of Cybertruck recalls, including previous ones addressed through software updates and other mechanical fixes.
