Sam Kerr, the Chelsea striker and Australia international, is still sidelined with a serious knee injury sustained in January 2024, and her manager Sonia Bompastor has indicated that Kerr will not be ready for matches until after the upcoming international break. While Kerr returned to individual training, she has been omitted from Chelsea's current playing squad. Chelsea faces three matches before the break and hopes to see Kerr return in time for two upcoming friendlies against South Korea.
The 31-year-old Australia international has not played for more than a year after rupturing her anterior cruciate ligament during training in January 2024.
Chelsea have three more matches before the international break - two against Manchester City and one against West Ham.

Kerr was found not guilty of causing racially aggravated harassment, after calling a Metropolitan Police officer 'stupid and white'.
