Zhide Architectural Design Consulting has introduced OAS/S-NOMAD in Laolihai, Ulanqab, as part of a cultural initiative focused on revitalizing rural areas in Inner Mongolia. This project reflects on the connection between heritage and innovation, blending nomadic culture with modern design. The structure not only showcases a futuristic aesthetic but also incorporates elements of traditional pastoral life. Utilizing materials that harmonize with the natural landscape, OAS/S-NOMAD supports local herders through cultural tourism, while fostering community engagement and ecological preservation, aligning with the principles of adaptability and movement.
The OAS/S-NOMAD installation integrates elements of nomadic culture and futuristic design, exemplifying the relationship between past and future through innovative expression.
Material selection in OAS/S-NOMAD allows it to blend with winter grasslands, reinforcing the theme of co-existence within nomadic traditions and ecological preservation.
