Curator Aram Moshayedi rapidly organized a pop-up exhibition titled One Hundred Percent in just three weeks following devastating wildfires in California. With over 80 artists participating, including renowned figures, the show aims to provide both emotional support and a financial platform by donating all proceeds directly to the artists. The exhibition highlights diverse artworks, from durable pieces salvaged from the fire to new creations made for the event, as a means of catharsis for those affected. It runs from February 14 to 22, coinciding with the Frieze Los Angeles fair.
Moshayedi states, 'I think there will be a lot of emotions. It's a convergence of people who have been affected either directly or indirectly by the fires and will hopefully offer an opportunity for some kind of release.'
The exhibition, titled One Hundred Percent, emphasizes its business model where all proceeds will go directly to the artist, with Moshayedi's team working entirely on a volunteer basis.
