Newton Park Place / ROAR
Briefly

ROAR has completed an oak extension for a historic Victorian home in Chislehurst, emphasizing a contemporary and sustainable approach. The 30sqm addition, costing £450,000, diverges from previous alterations by focusing on modern materials rather than mimicking Victorian architecture. Kelly Johnson, the homeowner, sought a minimal retreat that resulted in a unique design featuring separate living and dining spaces, showcasing oak’s low carbon footprint. The project utilized a custom timber frame crafted in Devon and assembled on-site, illustrating a blend of contemporary style with historic preservation.
