The extraordinary structure features five sculpted 'wings' which function like chimneys, pulling hot air up and out of the building, maintaining a cool interior naturally. Fresh air is drawn through ground-cooling pipes and released into the museum's lobby.
The intricate winged design of the Zayed National Museum is inspired by UAE's first president Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's love for falconry and traditional Islamic motifs.
