Champagne, France's second-most visited wine region, saw a surge in visitors to 7.5 million in 2023. To capitalize on this growth, Maison Ruinart opened a new visitors' pavilion designed by Sou Fujimoto. This architectural marvel blends luxury and hospitality while reflecting the vineyard's historical roots. The pavilion, approached via a historic pathway, mirrors the original 18th-century chateau and boasts stunning interiors. Fujimoto's design concept, inspired by the identity of champagne, encapsulates the essence of effervescence and offers an inviting ambience for guests.
I wanted to think about the identity of champagne. My inspiration came from a bubble, rendered into a huge bubble floating above a glass.
The Nicolas Ruinart Pavilion mirrors the winery's original 18th-century chateau and features elegant interiors designed by Gwenaël Nicolas.
