Sydney named one of the hottest digital nomad cities for 2025

A study by ScoutLogic evaluated cost of living, connectivity, cultural offerings, healthcare, environmental quality and local digital nomad community engagement to rank global remote-work hotspots for 2025. Sydney placed fifth, with average monthly living costs of $5,728, and attracts nomads through golden beaches, outdoor lifestyle, strong work-life balance and high salaries that offset expensive everyday prices. Bangkok topped the list with a Digital Nomad Score of 68.09, average monthly costs of $2,338 and a perfect 5.0 community score driven by street food, coworking hubs and energetic networking. Nakhon Ratchasima in Thailand ranked second.
