His mother recounted the heartbreaking day when she had to choose to disconnect him from the ventilator: 'I wanted to just keep him in this world even if he was already gone.'
Gaxiola-Chavez showed incredible love through his eyes, despite physical limitations, as he watched his siblings grow up: 'There was never a hug after that, nothing except the ones we were giving him.'
