A 65-year-old man lost control of his Lexus while transitioning from Highway 17 to Highway 85, resulting in a fatal crash Wednesday night in Los Gatos.
The solo-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 7 p.m. when the man was ejected from his car after it traveled down an embankment.
California Highway Patrol Officer Ross Lee confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene, with the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner working on identifying him.
Authorities noted that the investigation into the crash remains ongoing, with further updates expected to be provided.
