Monterey County man turns himself in to police after stabbing his mother

A Carmel Valley woman was stabbed multiple times by her son, William Lawrence Darpinian, who has been charged with attempted murder. The incident occurred on Saturday morning in the Del Mesa community, and the victim was taken to a trauma center. Darpinian fled the scene, prompting a search by the Sheriff's Office. He later turned himself in to authorities and is currently held on a $1 million bond. The investigation continues.
