How an unconventional coffee roaster became the hub for a Bay Area town
Briefly

Fabrice Moschetti of Moschetti Artisan Roaster dedicates weekends to community engagement, opening his Vallejo coffee facility for free tastings and local events. While he serves coffee and fosters connections, he emphasizes love for Vallejo over profit. From Nice, France, he settled in California in 1989 and has aimed to reshape Vallejo's image from negativity to a hub of culture, inviting customers from afar to experience the city's charm. His efforts underline a commitment to community, art, and shared experiences beyond traditional business.
On Saturdays, I give us a little reprieve. We are able to enjoy more the quality and the art. We are able to talk with people about how we roast.
We have customers sometimes come from Sacramento, Palo Alto, wherever, and they say, 'Oh, I didn't know Vallejo was like that.' It shows you the work us, the city, have to do in terms of PR.
