New restaurant featuring authentic Thai cuisine opens in Martinez
Briefly

The newly opened Sisaket Thai Restaurant in Martinez, owned by Thatchakon and Bua Yaiduang, seeks to repeat the success of their first venue, Bua Thai Kitchen. After moving to the U.S. from Thailand in 2002, the Yaiduangs have focused on bringing authentic Thai cuisine to the East Bay, particularly from Northeastern Thailand. Popular dishes include lamb curry and a unique take on massaman curry. Surprisingly, despite rising import costs, prices will remain stable, thanks to local suppliers growing Thai spices. The restaurant has already received high ratings and substantial customer traffic.
"It's authentic Thai food, said Thatchakon. I'm from Northeastern Thailand, so it's northeastern style, a mixture of spicy and sour."
"Despite tariffs affecting the cost of imports, Thatchakon said he doesn't plan to raise the prices at either of his Thai restaurants."
