San Francisco has never seen a restaurant quite like Draymond Green's
Briefly

Meski, a new Afro Latin-Ethiopian restaurant, has opened at Larkin and Post streets in San Francisco. With luxurious interiors and a focus on celebrating Black culture and the African diaspora, it is co-owned by Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green and chefs Nelson German and Guma Fassil. They aim to restore the vibrancy of Black culture in San Francisco, which has waned over the past 50 years. German emphasizes the importance of representation and diversity in the Bay Area, aspiring to reflect Oakland's melting pot identity in San Francisco.
In Oakland, we're a very diverse melting pot, and we want to bring that same sentiment to the whole Bay Area. San Francisco is the bigger city and has a lot more eyes on it throughout the world. It's about representation and trying to make San Francisco as diverse as it was in the past.
Meski is a new Afro Latin-Ethiopian restaurant from future Hall of Famer Draymond Green, acclaimed 'Top Chef' alum Nelson German of Alamar Kitchen and Bar, and Guma Fassil of Meski's Kitchen & Garden in Berkeley.
The somewhat uncommon-for-SF swanky vibe comes from two East Bay restaurateurs, making their mark across the Bay for the first time with the help of one of the greatest Golden State Warriors players of all time.
The mindset of the trio is to bring Black culture back to San Francisco, where it has declined over the last 50 years.
