"This is a huge moment for us. Having our own space means full creative control and the ability to build a place that feels like home for us and our customers. We've spent a lot of time getting everything right - from the pizza dough to the design of the space - and we can't wait for people to walk in and feel like they're part of the society."
Hamburger Project focuses on simplicity with its smashburgers, featuring soft buns, thin juicy patties, and a highlight on their Classic version with house sauce, onions, and pickles.
"One of our friends suggested hiring them as cooks at our restaurant, since we were short-staffed. This sparked an idea. I wanted to meet with them and offer a job that would allow them to pursue their true passion, cooking what they loved most: breakfast meals."
While whiffs of Daytrip's wild child days remain - a few disco balls still glitter about the space - the new concept aims to deliver 'an awesome place to go often and take kids and have it be loud, family-oriented and affordable.'
"It was shocking to see the CCTV footage. They were with their daughter but they're not ashamed. They weren't booked and they just came and said they needed something to eat so we happily showed them a table."
