Busy developer keeps assembling properties for Oakland neighborhood
Briefly

srmErnst, a Bay Area real estate firm, has purchased a retail and commercial building for $4.75 million in West Oakland. This acquisition is part of their broader vision to create a manufacturing and food neighborhood, known as Prescott, which will combine various innovative sectors. Kilovolt Coffee, the former tenant, has vacated the space to relocate nearby, but srmErnst is focused on developing the area by redeveloping existing structures into a vibrant community hub featuring food markets and spaces for new, innovative manufacturers.
With Prescott Market, we hope to create a vibrant eatery where the community can gather, converse, and celebrate, said Joe Ernst, founder and principal executive.
We are building on Oakland's entrepreneurial and creative culture and targeting innovative manufacturers such as food tech, lab research and development, and robotics.
