More than half (56%) of full-time UK undergraduates work an average of 14.5 hours a week in paid employment, leading to a divide between those who work long hours to survive and those free to concentrate on studies.
Students with part-time jobs are averaging 48-hour working weeks during term time, posing a challenge compared to the average 36.6 hours of adults in full-time jobs, potentially making full-time study unfeasible for many.
