According to the Irish Red Cross, Ireland is now the largest accommodation provider in Europe for those fleeing the war, with 3,955 homes hosting displaced individuals.
Deirdre Garvey, secretary general of the Irish Red Cross, stated that the ongoing support from the Irish public has been crucial for enabling their mission both locally and internationally.
The Irish public's donations reached €900,000 for the Red Cross Ukrainian appeal last year, reflecting a strong commitment to aiding those in crisis.
The annual report highlighted that the Red Cross also raised significant funds for relief efforts in Palestine and provided over €1.6m for emergency assistance in Turkey and Syria.
