Algorithm startup QMill vows to become 'first to provide quantum advantage'
Briefly

"There is momentum growing at the moment [in quantum], and investors can see that a lot of companies are experimenting with quantum computing now—but so far they have not found quantum advantage," says QMill co-founder and CEO Hannu Kauppinen. This highlights how, despite the excitement around quantum technologies, many are still struggling to demonstrate practical benefits that outperform classical systems.
Mikko Möttönen, one of QMill's co-founders, points to the substantial advancements in quantum hardware over the past five years, noting, "It is only a matter of time before we have an error-corrected full-fledged quantum computer." This indicates optimism regarding the future of quantum computing, but it also outlines the current challenges in leveraging today's quantum machines for practical applications.
