""The iconic fall denim campaign with Sydney Sweeney confirms we are the American jeans brand," Schottenstein said during Wednesday's earnings call."

American Eagle credited partnerships with Sydney Sweeney and Travis Kelce for driving stronger results and higher customer engagement. Earnings rose 15% year over year to $0.45 per share for the quarter ended August 2, while net revenue fell 1% to $1.28 billion and comparable sales declined 1%. The late-July 'great jeans' campaign starring Sydney Sweeney boosted customer awareness and engagement, with signature jeans selling out within a week and some items selling out in a day. The campaign generated notable new customer acquisition, the company said, despite online criticism accusing the ad of promoting regressive beauty standards and eugenics.
