louis vuitton sets sail in shanghai with ship-like flagship and exhibition designed by OMA
Briefly

Louis Vuitton has launched The Louis in Shanghai, a modern structural homage to its nautical roots. Designed by OMA, the venue features a flagship store and the Visionary Journeys exhibition, showcasing Louis Vuitton’s rich history in design and travel. The exhibition includes a stunning installation of Monogram canvas trunks, designed to engage visitors with the brand's legacy and innovative spirit. This cultural destination encapsulates Louis Vuitton’s ties to craftsmanship, movement, and Shanghai’s identity as a historic port city.
Our installation uses iconic Louis Vuitton trunks in a playful display that intuitively and instantly communicates the Maison's heritage and spirit of innovation.
Together, they become a spatial amplifier that feels surreal yet rooted to Louis Vuitton's origins.
The Louis is a space created by Louis Vuitton that encapsulates the spirit of travel and the deep connection of the French house to movement, craftsmanship, and culture.
This iteration draws visitors into a cinematic voyage through Louis Vuitton's intertwined history with design, innovation, and travel.
