Celebrity Traitors star Ruth Codd recovering after second leg amputation
"Hi guys. So, I have some good news and some bad news. Good news, we've had a full circle moment. I'm back making TikTok content in my parents' house. Bad news, I can't do it in front of that lovely blue floral wallpaper any more, due to the fact that that room is upstairs. I've just had my second below-knee amputation. So, unfortunately, those facilities are not available to me at the current moment in time. So a lot to unpack there for everyone involved."
"It's just that this foot, I was on crutches for the bones of eight years and the way I used my crutches I was always kind of on my tippy toes, so the joints in my feet were destroyed by the end, she said. It's gone past the point where they can kind of do anything about it."
Ruth Codd, 29, underwent a second below-knee amputation on her left leg after years of surgeries and chronic pain stemming from a teenage football injury and an earlier amputation six years ago. Prior crutch use for eight years damaged her foot joints and led to toe removals in 2021. Recovery will require at least a month of healing before a prosthetic can be fitted. Codd showcased a new wheelchair she nicknamed Fat Tony and captioned her post 'No legs who dis? #paralympics2026'. She built a TikTok following with comedy and disability-awareness content and has acted in The Midnight.
