"Bojangles, a North Carolina-based fast food chain known for its hand-breaded fried chicken and ultra-buttery biscuits, has officially opened its first New York City location in the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. "We've spent decades building a strong foundation across the Southeast and beyond, growing to more than 850 restaurants in 20 states," says Stacey McCray, Bojangles' vice president of communications. "Now seemed like the right moment to bring our Southern hospitality and craveable flavors to a city that appreciates great food and great value.""
"While there are many fried chicken joints in NYC, there aren't too many that are open 24/7 - and even fewer that offer all-day breakfast. This location has both, so you can get Bojangles' Cajun Filet Biscuit and Bo-Tato Rounds (crispy potato nuggets) at any hour of the day. The dining room will close at midnight, but the drive-thru will remain open for service. Perhaps bad news for some fried chicken enthusiasts: To streamline the menu, this Bojangles will offer only boneless chicken."
"If it's your first time visiting, McCray recommends the Cajun-seasoned chicken, served in sandwiches and as nuggets and tenders, and the Bo-Berry Biscuits, freshly made buttermilk biscuits studded with blueberries and drizzled with a sweet glaze. Bojangles is also beloved for its iced tea and high-quality "fixins," such as seasoned fries, dirty rice, and macaroni and cheese. "We think once people try it, they'll understand why Bojangles has been loved in the South for nearly five decades," she says."
