The image generator surged in popularity due to its ability to create realistic Ghibli-style photos, resulting in significant growth in user sign-ups for ChatGPT. However, this popularity has also pressured OpenAI's resources, causing product delays and degraded services as they work to scale their infrastructure to manage the high demand, particularly in India, which has emerged as the fastest-growing market for ChatGPT.
