Barcelona illustrator Judy Kaufmann has designed an enchanting collection of enamel pins that pay tribute to beloved authors and classic literature. Her designs combine sleek visuals and creativity, creating wearable pieces of art. Featuring classics like 'The Bell Jar' and '1984', each pin captures the essence of its literary inspiration. Kaufmann aims to honor her favorite artists and collaborate with bookstores, explaining her motivation behind the phrase 'A book to wear' which encapsulates the project beautifully. With her minimalist style, she continues to develop new collections in response to artistic growth and exploration.
I think the slogan I use for the pins, 'A book to wear,' explains it well: I love the idea of carrying favourite books in an unconventional format. I also love collaborating with bookstores, offering a product that complements books beautifully.
I wanted a collection that is somewhere between vintage and elegant, and I think so far only this colour palette has responded to that. Anyway, I am thinking about the next collection with new colours.
