Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba's home, located between Bertinoro and Cesena, symbolizes a blend of nature, art, and minimalistic design. Inspired by the beautiful terrain, he created a residence that reflects the environment without overshadowing it. The house comprises white volumes that flow with the landscape, enhancing the natural beauty that surrounded him. Inside, the layout consists of interconnected spaces resembling a small village, each corner thoughtfully designed to play with light and shadow. A glass passageway links his living space to his studio, blending creativity with daily life.
When I first visited the land, I was struck by its natural beauty, he recalls. The terrain had a peculiar shape—an almost perfectly rectangular hilltop.
I wanted a home that resonated with the environment, rather than imposing itself, he explains. At the same time, I wanted it to reflect my work, like a sculpture.
The interior is designed not as a singular mass, but as a series of interconnected spaces, reminiscent of a small village.
This created a series of intimate, picturesque corners, each with its own play of light and shadow, he says.
