Leah Stokes will visit Cornell on April 23 to discuss the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, the largest federal investment in climate and clean energy in U.S. history. Her lecture, titled 'The Carbon Wave: A Story of Democracy, Parenthood, and the Race to Protect Our Planet,' will draw from her book and feature personal stories of three new parents involved in the legislation's passage. The event is co-sponsored by several Cornell institutions and will include a reception for attendees.
