The UK’s Cyber Monitoring Centre (CMC) has commenced operations to declare and classify systemic cyber attacks on a scale of one to five, aiding organizations in understanding the severity of incidents. Initially established by law firm Weightmans and insurer CFC, the CMC’s insights will be publicly accessible, promoting better preparedness for cyber threats. CMC's CEO, Will Mayes, highlights the heightened risk of cyber events due to increasing technological reliance.
