The Innovation Asset Collective is a program funded by the Canadian federal government to impact the ability of SMEs in Canada to build the IP strategies they need to compete in global markets, and to improve their freedom to operate that provides access to those markets.
We couple that with an insurance product that allows companies, for a small premium, to ensure they won't be defeated in a patent litigation matter, thereby reducing their risk.
Both Mike and Joe highlighted how governmental support for SMEs in Canada and Ireland sets a standard that could significantly benefit small businesses in the United States.
Mike emphasized the importance of robust IP strategies, as they not only protect innovations but also enable SMEs to leverage their intellectual property as a competitive advantage.
