Dodgers Spring Training: Tony Gonsolin Feels 'A Little Bit' Forgotten In Rotation
Briefly

Tony Gonsolin made his Spring Training debut for the Dodgers against the Cubs after recovering from Tommy John surgery. He struck out two batters in a scoreless first inning, expressing excitement about competing in a real game again. While Gonsolin executed his pitches well, he acknowledged his fastball could improve. He is vying for the last spot in the Dodgers' starting rotation against competitors like Dustin May and Bobby Miller. Manager Dave Roberts praised Gonsolin's significant progress since the previous year.
It felt good. First time against big league competition, outside of a rehab outing. It was cool to be back in a real game.
I thought the fastball execution could be a little bit better but I threw a couple good splitters, sliders, and curveballs. Overall it was good results.
