With a New Location and Liquor License, Oaxacan Icon Gish Bac Reimagines Its Future in Los Angeles

Casa Gish Bac inaugurated on January 25, 2024, in Los Angeles, developed by Indigenous couple David and Maria Ramos. This newly expanded location replaces their original Arlington Heights restaurant, closing in six months to focus on this larger establishment. Previously used as a banquet hall, the Pico-Union site transitioned into Casa Gish Bac with a beer and wine license, allowing patrons to enjoy traditional Oaxacan dishes and beverages. Maria Ramos's culinary journey began in 1992, building strong ties with the community and catering for cultural events since. Their grand opening attracted many long-time supporters.
