This drastic change suggests a growing optimism about financial compensation in the legal industry, possibly fueled by expectations of increased firm revenues despite challenging economic conditions.
Despite the uncertainty brought about by current economic conditions, 57% of associates in our survey predict that bonuses will be higher than in 2023. This is a remarkable turnaround from the previous year's survey, where only 14% had expressed similar optimism. The anticipation for year-end bonuses is palpable, and many believe that firms will not only offer regular bonuses but potentially special bonuses as well.
