Police were called at 03:21hrs on Thursday, 15 August to reports of an assault at a hotel in South Street, Romford. At this early stage there has been no arrest. Enquiries continue.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was sexually assaulted by a man known to her - and is now being supported by specialist officers.
A second sexual assault was reported in Romford town centre just a day later. Police officers received reports of a 'serious' sexual assault in Exchange Street, Romford, between 1am and 2am on Friday.
The Met Police have confirmed there is 'no indication' these two assaults are linked.
