Investigation launched after fire destroys telecoms mast and phone boxes

A telecoms mast and seven mobile phone cabinets were destroyed in a significant fire on Ordnance Road, Enfield, which was reported around 1.41am on November 8.
The London Fire Brigade deployed two fire engines and ten firefighters from Enfield fire station, successfully bringing the fire under control by 5.30am after nearly four hours.
Ordnance Road had to be temporarily closed in both directions between Mollison Avenue and Velocity Way due to the fire response, but fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has been initiated, as officials seek to understand how the telecoms mast ended up ablaze.
