Man found dead in car in the River Thames at Battersea

Police were called to reports of a car that had entered the River Thames with one male occupant.

Emergency services including Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, and HM Coastguard responded to the scene.

The car was later recovered from the river with the man inside, pronounced dead at the scene.

HM Coastguard also responded to the incident, sending RNLI lifeboat from Chiswick.
