Jason Frost, Mawneys ward councillor, posted on Facebook that planning enforcement officers are investigating alleged breaches at an address in Hainault Road.
The council declined to confirm the nature of its probe and what the allegations are that it is investigating. A spokesperson said: 'We're aware of several complaints from members of the public and are investigating. We cannot comment further at this stage.'
The Hainault Road homeowner fervently denied wrongdoing when contacted by the Recorder and claimed the complaints received were incorrect.
The council's planning enforcement team receives up to 800 investigation requests a year. It advises reporting only after checking if planning permission has been obtained for a potential breach.
