Councillor Paul Dimoldenberg acknowledged the ongoing problem of street urination, stating, "Residents and businesses should not have to put up with it," underscoring the need for better public toilet access.
The report highlighted that 27% of visitors would avoid the West End due to insufficient public toilets, with businesses losing approximately 300,000 annually in cleaning costs.
Lucy Haine of the Soho Neighbourhood Forum stressed that the lack of facilities disproportionately affects the elderly, women, and "urgent WC users," calling for urgent improvements.
