A woman, 78, collapsed on a number 13 bus in Finchley shortly after boarding and was taken to the hospital, where she later died from a cardiac arrest.
Emergency services responded to the call at 12.35 am on December 28, and efforts are underway to investigate the circumstances that led to the woman's death.
The driver of the bus is cooperating with the investigation, and the police appeal to witnesses who left the scene before help arrived.
