Springboard, a charity training school pupils from Enfield as aspiring chefs, has secured a £10,000 grant from London Freemasons. This funding is aimed at enhancing their Future Chef mentoring program within educational institutions. According to Chris Gamm, Springboard’s chief executive, the grant will help provide essential resources and mentorship, fostering the next generation for the hospitality sector. Their outreach efforts include competitions and career sessions, having already assisted 225,000 school-leavers in cultivating passion in the culinary arts over the last 25 years.

This grant is being used to expand the charity's outreach programme in schools for youngsters to take part in a national bake-off competition and in career sessions.
