Investigation into death of passenger hit by train at Tube station

An investigation by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) has been initiated following the death of a passenger at Ickenham station, west London. The tragic event occurred at approximately 10.30 pm on March 28 when a passenger fell onto the Tube tracks, subsequently being struck by a train. The RAIB seeks to uncover the events leading to this accident, while Transport for London (TfL) is conducting its internal inquiry to ensure safety measures are adequate and to prevent such incidents in the future.
Lilli Matson, TfL's chief health, safety and environment officer, expressed condolences, stating, 'Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the person who sadly died at Ickenham Tube station last month.'
The Rail Accident Investigation Branch is tasked to investigate the incident at Ickenham station that involved a passenger falling onto tracks and being struck by a train.
