A new knife amnesty bin has been installed in Woolwich town centre aimed at reducing knife crime. This is the third bin in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, following successful installations in Abbey Wood and Eltham. These bins provide a safe and anonymous way for residents to dispose of dangerous weapons, contributing to community safety. Since July 2024, 214 weapons have been collected from the two existing bins.
