Second Sinn Fein representative questioned over alleged business fraud
Briefly

Cork city councillor Kenneth Collins and TD Thomas Gould are facing inquiries related to an alleged business fraud. Collins, who attended a meeting with gardaí and fully cooperated, maintains his innocence. Gould, undergoing treatment for bowel cancer, also asserts his innocence regarding a complaint from a former employer. He expressed outrage at the allegation, emphasizing that the complaint is a serious threat to his reputation and that he proactively sought a swift interview with gardaí to defend himself.
Despite my ongoing treatment for bowel cancer, I pro-actively requested that my interview with gardai happen quickly rather than when my treatment concluded, as I consider this to be a serious attack on my reputation.
He was given an invitation to attend. He accepted the invitation and he kept the appointment. He co-operated fully... and was released without being charged.
