Commodities giant Glencore is considering relocating its primary stock listing from the London Stock Exchange to New York or possibly other exchanges. CEO Gary Nagle emphasized the desire to find a platform that provides the best valuation for Glencore's securities. He acknowledged ongoing concerns regarding the appropriateness of the London exchange for their trading needs and indicated that the company is evaluating whether alternative exchanges might offer better trading conditions.
Ultimately, what we want to ensure is that our securities are traded on the right exchange where we can get the right and optimal valuation for our stock.
There have been questions raised previously around whether London is the right exchange.
