Select Morrisons shoppers could save 550 a year through new scheme
Briefly

Morrisons has launched a trial program providing a 10% discount for disabled customers who spend £25 or more on groceries online. To access the discount, customers must sign up on the Purpl platform and verify their disability status. With an average UK family spending £117 weekly on groceries, this discount could save disabled households approximately £11.70 weekly or over £550 annually. Both Morrisons and Purpl express their commitment to making grocery shopping more accessible and affordable for the disabled community, acknowledging the additional financial burdens they face.
We know from listening to our disabled customers that they often face a number of additional living expenses and so this trial will help lower the cost of their grocery bills.
I am so proud that we've been able to partner with Morrisons to offer this discount. Living with a disability can be expensive so I'm very pleased.
The process of getting dressed, going to a store, buying groceries, and taking them back home can take a lot of time and is often more expensive.
