Oleksandr Kosovan, founder of Ukrainian scaleup MacPaw, exemplifies resilience as his company operates amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Despite missile strikes, MacPaw released a new version of CleanMyMac, developed during wartime. The company's headquarters suffered significant damage from a December missile attack, which resulted in one fatality. Nevertheless, Kosovan's emergency procedures were activated to restore order amid chaos. With prior adaptations, including remote work and automation, MacPaw managed to recover quickly, allowing staff to return to work in portions of the building not severely impacted.
The only thing we could do is initiate our emergency procedures... They helped us to organise actions - because people were panicked. They didn't know what to do.
It was completely developed during the war... we had plans for this risk and they helped us to organise actions.
