Firefighters have made significant progress on three major Southern California wildfires, containing over 117,000 acres burned despite a late-summer heat wave.
The Bridge fire, now the largest active fire in California, has reached 69% containment thanks to recent cooler temperatures and higher humidity.
Officials announced that roads and trails affected by the Bridge fire will remain closed until the end of 2025 to aid in ecological recovery.
