The Canyon Crest Fire, which ignited on the evening of November 28, has significantly expanded in size, burning over 250 acres and remains completely uncontained.
100 firefighters, along with 28 engines and five water tenders, are combating the blaze; however, no containment progress has been reported since the fire began.
Evacuation warnings have been issued for residents in Riverside County, advising them to leave immediately due to the potential threat posed by the Canyon Crest Fire.
Riverside County Fire Department is now leading the firefighting efforts, as the fire, initially under the San Bernardino County Fire Department, has shifted south.
