Starting July 1, social media influencers and ad businesses in Abu Dhabi must obtain proper licensing or face fines up to Dh10,000. The process is streamlined through the Tamm platform.
Individuals pay Dh1,250, companies pay Dh5,000. Foreigners outside UAE with Emirates ID can also be subject. Even those with National Media Council permits need the new license.
Abu Dhabi now mandates compliance for businesses working with influencers. Non-compliance risks fines ranging from Dh3,000 to Dh10,000.
